APPLYING FOR SHELL MATCHING FUNDS SPECIFICALLY FOR THE MS 150 RIDE

The guidance provided below is designed to facilitate obtaining Shell matching funds for your donation to MS 150 riders.

Step 1. Go to the HERO home screen by clicking on the appropriate link below for Shell or Motiva and following log-in instructions (remember you password after you reset it!). If you had previously logged in, but forgot your password follow the instructions at the bottom of the page to reset it.

Step 2. After logging in, a page with the following should open. Click on the bullet, "I gave my gift directly to the nonprofit and would like to request a match". Then click on the "Submit" button.

Step 3. A new window should open requesting search information for the recipient organization. Add the information as shown below and click the "Search" button.

Step 4. This should open a window with the following search results. Click on the "Select" link to the left of the "National Multiple Sclerosis Society"

Step 5. This should open a window requesting gift information. Indicate gift type, gift date and amount. In the box "Restriction or Purpose" Write in the name of their team (e.g. Team Shell) and the name of the rider you are donating on behalf of. Then click on the submit button.

If you are supporting more than one rider, you can
  - show each rider and their team name with the amount donated on their behalf next to their name.
  - or, go through the process again for each rider (probably just as easy and less confusing than the above)

Step 6. A confirmation window should open up. Check to see if the information is correct. If not, click the "Redo" button to make corrections. Click on the box next to "I hereby certify that:" if you concur with the bullets listed below. Finally click on the "Confirm" button.
